i think, all things considered, this summer was pretty bad for reasons i could talk about, but i'd feel weird bemoaning my personal life on the internet in case someone goes through this site in like 10 years. i dunno. i like making music a lot but the idea of having eyes on me makes me kinda wanna crawl under a rock and hide.

i got a soldering kit recently. in a similar vein i also finally plugged on this ancient Dell Optiplex my mom found in a dumpster to see if it worked and i opened it up and it had no RAM and no hard drive. so i bought ram and a hard drive! the hard drive is not here yet but i ran tests through the BIOS and the memory works perfectly which i'm chuffed to bits about. i kind of had a revelation regarding computer stuff in this regard, i wanna pursue that stuff when i have employment (a phrase i've been saying for two years...) and an income. never hurts to have too many hobbies!

music has been kinda dry. i recorded a little under an album's worth of Good Demos this summer and a little under an album's worth of scraps and things to flesh out properly, and made a little half-hour "tape" out of them to show my friends. there's a few really keen ones i wanna do something with, there's one called "I Can't Help You" that originated from SEDiMENT where i recorded two guitars in different tunings doing different voicings for the same chords and it came out sounding super thick and a weird droney song i'm planning on revamping using elements of a four-track thing so i can get the best of both scraps. haven't really written anything new that i'm proud of for rosestuff since.

days have been weird. my brain has been evil and i've been kind of unstable but i think i finally have a few weeks to breathe and get my shit together. not sure if LP1 will come out this year, i wanna put something out though. maybe an EP. we'll see. i listened to Astro Lounge and it was good.
