so i finished Hanna-Barbaric like two weeks ago and sent the sequel to August Demo off to the (^_^) people! very exciting. it has one more song than august demo and i think blows it wayyyy out of the water recording-wise... it's half drum machine pop/rock and half more acoustic things remixed from the tapes for the Horn O'Plenty and Hanna-Barbaric and I think it's gonna be a damn good collection of songs. it and august demo together clock a little under half an hour which i think is a satisfactory amount of Good Music to have out, and I'm probably gonna be using other songs from those sessions for the first album whose title i am not revealing yet!

i just got off call with rylie, she's pretty darn cool and fun to talk to. i've known her for a long time and we're testing out dating right now and i think it's going pretty well even though we're both kinda bad at socializing, i think by way of autism. jay invited her to her friend server which was cool and she dropped in VC while i played assorted songs and talked about music and stuff.

since the last entry i finished shipwreck!! or at least did a rough cut w/ digital sound effects added in post. it's like, six and a half minutes and is four songs in a trenchcoat, but i am very very proud of how it came out. there's a 50/50 chance peanut, tree nut, and gluten free makes it a star song when we come back with those but i'm still thinking it over - juno helped with it a bit, she did drum sequencing for the third part which is like this indie rock song that the whole song builds up to before fading away into casios and synth chimes. i also did I Really Think and that one's on H-B. moirail too but i just used the demo since it and on the bus are kinda connected musically.

i think i'm gonna try to write the stranger song before the end of the month. i feel like it could be another cool rock-influenced thing for the tape, i'm just kinda at a loss lyrically, i might try to make a structure and instrumental before putting words to it just so i don't fall into the verse/chorus pit again even though i don't mind doing that. basically just an excuse to get weird with it
